For centuries in Chinese culture, jade has symbolized protection, harmony, wisdom and good fortune. Many believed wearing jade could ward off negativity, bring balance and reflect inner virtue and strength.
In traditional Chinese belief, Guan Gong (Guan Yu) symbolizes loyalty, righteousness, courage, protection, and honor. Revered as a legendary general from the Three Kingdoms period, he is respected not only as a warrior but also as a guardian figure associated with integrity, justice, and unwavering moral character. Guan Gong is traditionally believed to protect against negativity, betrayal, and misfortune while bringing strength, authority, and success in business and leadership. Many people also regard him as a symbol of trustworthiness and prosperity, especially among merchants and entrepreneurs. His image is often used as a protective and auspicious symbol representing loyalty, power, and righteous energy.
Xinjiang Hetian Jade (新疆和田玉) is regarded as the most traditional and prestigious form of jade in Chinese culture, originating from the Hetian region of Xinjiang. Revered for thousands of years, it is admired for its exceptionally fine texture, smooth oily lustre, and refined appearance. Xinjiang Hetian jade is especially prized for producing high-quality white jade and the legendary “mutton-fat jade,” symbolising purity, harmony, wisdom, and nobility. Its deep historical and cultural significance has made it one of the most treasured jade sources in the world.
烟灰色 (“smoky ash” grey) jade symbolizes calmness, stability, protection, and quiet wisdom in traditional belief. Its muted grey tones are associated with grounding energy, maturity, resilience, and inner balance rather than outward display or extravagance
Our jade pieces are crafted using carefully selected 老坑料 (old-mine material), valued for its superior density, stability, and long-term durability.
Compared to newer material, old-mine jade is known for its exceptional 细腻度 (fine and refined texture) and rich 油性 (natural lustrous sheen), giving the jade a smooth, silky touch and elegant glow.
Due to the dense and stable nature of old-mine Hetian jade, the material does not easily deteriorate, dry out, or lose its beauty over time. With proper care, genuine Hetian jade is suitable for lifetime wear and can even be passed down through generations.
All our jade pieces are individually hand-carved rather than machine-moulded. As such, slight variations, asymmetry, or minor irregularities in shape and finishing may be present. These are not considered defects, but part of the craftsmanship and uniqueness of authentic hand-carved jade.
Natural jade may also contain inclusions, veins, cotton, or mineral patterns formed naturally over time. These characteristics are part of the jade’s authenticity and natural beauty.
As every piece is made from natural jade, each item is unique in tone, texture, and pattern.
